Fiona Cownie is professor of law emerita at Keele University. She has published widely in the field of legal education and is the lead editor of The Elgar Concise Encyclopaedia of Legal Education. A former Pro Vice Chancellor (Education and Student Experience), she is currently researching the life of Claire Palley, the United Kingdom’s first female professor of law.
